We can conduct serious case reviews on either criminal or civil investigations. Our experienced team at Chaucer Forbes have also recently completed a series of serious case reviews on behalf of UK Government departments with multi agencies across the UK relating to failures around neighbourhood justice.

At Chaucer Forbes our Serious Case Review Team would work with our client to:

• Establish whether there are lessons to be learned from the case about the way in which professionals and organisations work together.
• Identify clearly what those lessons are, how they will be acted on and what is expected to change as a result.
• As a consequence, improve inter-organisation and internal working.
• Complete all investigatory functions to a criminal standard of evidence.

Serious Case Reviews are enquiries into how something has happened and who was responsible; our experienced team assist clients navigate successfully through the Coroner's and Criminal Courts.
